Father McGee Commission
2024
Acrylic Paint on Wood
91 x 122 cm (36 x 48 in)
Commissioned as a family legacy portrait, the work depicts Father McGee, the family’s priest in 1920s Kentucky, with the client’s maternal grandparents appearing above. The composition incorporates symbols of family lineage, Kentucky heritage, and the client’s Tibetan Buddhist practice, bringing personal and spiritual histories into a single narrative. Goldenrod and the rural Kentucky landscape root the work in the family’s place of origin.

2025
Graphite on paper
71 × 91 cm (28 × 36 in)
A detailed graphite portrait of Swami Sri Yukteswar, the revered Bengali yogi and spiritual teacher of Paramahansa Yogananda. The drawing reflects an ongoing interest in portraiture as a means of exploring spiritual presence, character and the inner life of the subject. Sold to a private collector.
Detroit Abloom Mural Commission
2026
Exterior acrylic on stucco
Approx. 213 × 213 cm (84 × 84 in)
Detroit Abloom Community Garden, Detroit, Michigan
Commissioned for Detroit Abloom, an urban flower farm and community space on Detroit’s east side, this mural reimagines the Garden of Eden as an exuberant meeting place of spiritual traditions, nature and the cosmic unknown. Krishna, Adam and Eve inhabit a landscape of flowers, animals, celestial imagery and a UFO, reflecting the garden itself as a place where cultivation, community, spirituality and imagination come together.

Teaching Life Drawing at the Northville Art House
Public Appearances
In celebration of Vernors’ 160th anniversary, I was commissioned this project reimagining the iconic Vernors gnome for contemporary Detroit across two vintage metal signs. The finished works were exhibited during the anniversary celebration at the historic Henry the Hatter in Detroit’s Eastern Market. Pictured with Keith Hays of Plaza Antiques & Collectibles, who commissioned the project.
Influenced by Detroit, Educated by the World
Rooted in Detroit and shaped by extensive travel, my creative practice draws upon encounters with art, music, spiritual traditions and historic places across cultures. Travels throughout Europe, the Caribbean, Asia and the United States continue to inform an evolving visual language centered on storytelling, cultural exchange and the search for meaning.

Customer Testimonial
“This is an incredibly personal piece I asked Jeremy (aka Jah Sunny) to make for my mother. Since it is so personal, I will not go into detail on the meaning of it publicly but I will say he nailed it. I provided him the concept and vision for a healing totem and that healing energy played out even in our interaction on the creation of the piece. Jeremy took the time to even read the book that I have that was written about this famous priest. He cared about this piece and took the time to listen to and act on my many modification requests to dial in the exact vibe I had seen in my mind. Everyone who sees this piece is struck by the beautiful intensity of it and the healing energy it emits. Thank you! “
